Who are the OG’s?
If you like Matt’s Models then you’ll probably like my Top 5 “Original Gonzos”.
In the late 90s a small group of the first adult websites started popping up on the Internet. The earliest were illegal, because they were just aggregating stolen photos.
Around the same time a small group of paysites appeared. These sites shot and/or produced their own original content and have been doing it ever since.
I consider these guys to be the original amateur content producers or “Original Gonzos” of porn on the Internet.
When these websites started there was virtually no video or live cam on the net – only photos. However they quickly started adding video in the early 2000s.
These sites are a great value for the money because of their extensive history of exclusive content and many of them are still producing and updating to this day which equals massive libraries!
Tip:
Since there were a minuscule number of producers in the early years (compared to today), the models often made the rounds to just a handful of shooters, so if you’re looking for more content on old favorites, you’ll often find them on the OGs and nowhere else.

Although it appears he got into the game after Alsscan, ATK is the Granddaddy of them all in terms of breadth, popularity, influence and endurance.
It was all started by a guy named Kim Nielsen. I started off in 1996 wanting to shoot content for adult sites and Kim was one of my first clients. I consider him to the Father of the “amateur” niche.
According to Xbiz.com he is a pioneer in the industry “while Nielsen was a doctoral student. One of his Ph.D. seminars frequently focused on the applicability of the Internet as a medium for data collection for doctoral dissertations, research, etc. During his research, Nielsen was continually amazed at the tremendous traffic volume adult websites generated. He observed most sites were not doing a great job of target”.
He holds a Bachelors degree in business administration from University of Washington, a MBA in marketing from University of Michigan, Executive Education in Strategic Marketing from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, and a Ph.D. in marketing from University of Florida. Nielsen taught courses in Principles of Marketing, Quantitative Methods for Business, Personal Selling and Sales Force Management and E-Commerce at undergraduate and MBA levels.
He also worked for General Motors in the Advanced Marketing Methodologies department before being promoted to Manager of Market Research for GMC’s Truck Division and later to Program Manager of the GM Syclone and Typhoon high performance truck programs. During his employment at GM, Nielsen developed and validated new tools for conducting market research.

He started in the same year as ATK although with 99% of adult websites the owner of KarupsPC seems to be a bit mystery. Not everybody is as willing as Kim Nielsen to be a public face for their adult business. However KarupsPC is a long time porn network site, a global portal for sites like Karups Hometown Amateurs and Karups Older Women. The site has existed for more than 20 years. You can find plenty of cross marketing between he and ATK.

Danni Ashe (and early in her career sometimes as Danielle Ashe) (born January 16, 1968), is an American retired nude model, former erotic dancer and pornographic actress who is the founder and former CEO of Danni’s Hard Drive, a pioneering adult web site. Ashe started her adult Internet site in 1995. She has been an industry advocate and testified before a government panel. She was one of the first adult industry websites to garner main stream media attention. She is retired from modeling.
I believe Danni is owned by Penthouse now.

According To Wikipedia Matt’s Models was started by a guy named Matt Frackas. He is an American photographer, director and producer based in Los Angeles, California. “Frackas” is best known as a pioneer of the amateur genre in the Adult industry. Matt founded Matt’s Models in 1999 and has since been recognized by the Adult Industry as a leader in his genre. Matt has made news by branching out in 2006 and forming Matt’s Model Network, signing a DVD distribution deal in 2007 with Vivid Entertainment Group, and by merging into a larger content network with Matt’s Money in 2008.
